Can you even fathom this - homes, hospitals, and essential civil infrastructure were amongst the targets? It’s as if Game of Thrones met Top Gun in the harsh reality of our world. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!

While we’re all still wide-eyed at the audacity of it all, NATO, like the superhero we need but don’t deserve, is weighing the situation on a scale only they can see. NATO officials took the high road, confirming that they’re keeping a ‘vigilant’ watch over the situation. A rather diplomatic way to say, ‘We’re watching you, Russia’ - don’t you think?

And let’s not forget Ukraine, the cornered lion of this unfolding saga, furiously roaring back at Russia. Their defense can be compared to the Battle at Helm’s Deep from Lord of the Rings. With Ukraine promising a response worthy of a sequel, breathless anticipation hangs in the air.

And yet, our mighty powers prefer doing the ‘waltz of politics’, even on this grave matter. Trust me, folks, the UN Security Council won’t be sitting this dance out.
